We are honored to announce that Revel & Riot will be a presence on the upcoming U.S. tour of the band, fun.! Fun. will be selling our successful collaborative shirt, as well as our ‘go marriage equality’ t-shirt which we’ve made special for them in custom fun. colors! We will also have stickers, pamphlets, marriage equality foam hands, and educational cards to giveaway at all the shows, to raise awareness about homophobia, transphobia and the issue of LGBT civil rights.
As fun.’s charity partner, this will help us to raise money for upcoming Revel & Riot campaigns! We will also be donating $1 from the sale of each t-shirt to the Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) Network. A Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) is a student-run club in a high school or middle school that brings together LGBTQ and straight students to support each other, provide a safe place to socialize, and create a platform for activism to fight homophobia and transphobia. The GSA Network, is a youth-driven organization that helps LGBTQ students and straight allies organize GSA clubs focused on activism to create safer schools. They provide leadership training, resources, advocacy and more.
Fun.’s new album SOME NIGHTS is out February 21. Their first single ‘We Are Young’ featuring Janelle Monáe.’ is currently the #1 digital single and was featured on GLEE! Besides being an incredible band – they are outspoken and dedicated allies to the LGBTQ community. SO – the exciting announcement Revel & Riot and fun. fans have been waiting for, is that we have a pair of tickets to give away in every city on the upcoming U.S. fun. tour that starts in Burlington, VT on the 29th of February! They’re playing so many shows – check their tour page for a full list of dates and cities.
All you have to do to win tickets is:
1. go to our facebook page and RSVP to event listing for the fun. show that you want to attend! ( you will find the listings under ‘events’ on the left side of the page.)
2. leave a comment on that event page telling us what city you’re from and and why you’re an excellent LGBTQ individual or ally to the LGBTQ community! We will announce ( and message) ticket winners one week before each show!
