Dan Savage, (Writer, love advice columnist and creator of the ‘It Gets Better Project), Aaron Huffman and Christopher Frizzelle (editor of Seattle’s weekly paper The Stranger), have teamed up to create this poignant cover for the upcoming edition of the paper.
It is an extremely somber parody of the alarming graphic found on Sarah Palin’s own website, which had crosshairs over the congressional districts / representatives in the nation who supported health care reform and Democratic legislation in general. When congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D) of Arizona was shot in the head and six bystanders killed in a rain of gunfire at a Tucson, Ariz., shopping center on January 8, the graphic caused public outrage and sparked a debate around the issue of vitriol, and the country’s heightened partisan political landscape due to conservative/republican hate speech and aggression.
The graphic above was the one originally found on Sarah Palin’s website. The crosshairs have since been changed to check marks. Sarah Palin and her cronies have once again revealed their hate, intolerance and ignorance to the entire nation.
